This weekend I experienced 3 every emotional events, strike that, 4 emotional events. I celebrated a beautiful anniversary with BAE. That night I was checking my phone and I couldn't believe what I saw, an earthquake hit my most precious Morocco, the epicenter being south of Marrakech. Hearing that news was like a punch to the gut. If you peruse my blog, you will see nothing but stunning images from Morocco. Out of the almost 30 countries I've visited, this lovely country touched my in the most special way. I've never encountered such sweet and lovely people that truly felt like family.

Permission was asked for this shot of the cool kids in the Medina. So shy and cute!

The Vibes are Palpable - Uncle with the stache was eager to take pics with me and sit next to me.

Hadijah (far left) did my henna for me. She introduced me to her mom, which she said was my mom as well (you can see why), the friend to the far right gifted me a free bracelet just because...🥲
I couldn't help but think of each and every one of these individuals that I crossed paths with, wondering about their well being. I really hope they are all okay. After discovering the news about the devastation, Monday, it was the anniversary of 9/11, which is obviously such a somber moment. Unfortunately, that is also the same date that my dad, the patriarch that passed on his nomadic spirit to me, passed away as well. So that day, September 11th is always doubly sad for me. As an empath and a HSP (Highly Sensitive Person) I feel things so much stronger than most. So 3 saddening moments at once, is a lot to deal with, I must say. Now, in solidarity with the country that touched my soul, I will focus all of my next posts on my blog and social media on our beautiful kingdom of Morocco. I want to share its beauty in honor of it's people. We mourn with you, we feel for you, Morocco, we ❤️ you.
You write with so much empathy and feeling. Your writing helps us to see the real people, the individuals with whom you crossed paths and captured your heart. This demonstrates that what you expressed as your reason for traveling-not just visiting places but meeting real people, offering your love and heart to them- were not empty words.
Our heart is also with Morocco and the people who are suffering this devastating disaster.
